Earn-a-Buck Pre-Qualification Status

If you already have the appropriate number of green Buck Authorization Stickers that you have earned from the 2007 deer hunting season, this pre-qualification check does not apply to you, and no further action is required. Green ?2007-2008? Buck Authorization Stickers that you were issued at a registration station in 2007, but did not use, are valid during the 2008 hunting season.

This Web site allows you to determine if you have pre-qualified for a buck sticker for the 2008 Earn-a-Buck season by harvesting an antlerless deer from a 2007 Herd Control Deer Management Unit which is an Earn-a-buck unit for the 2008 Season. You may also check to see if you should have been issued a Buck Authorization Sticker last season for registering an antlerless deer from a 2007 EAB or CWD management unit. a)

I tagged and registered an antlerless deer from at least one of the following deer management units during the 2007 deer season: 59D, 60B, 72, 72A, 73A, 73B, 73D or 74B. These were ?Herd Control? units during the 2007 deer season and are designated ?Earn-a-Buck? (EAB) for the 2008 deer season. Buck Authorization Stickers were not issued at deer registration stations for any antlerless deer harvested within these units during the 2007 deer season. Instead, stickers will be mailed to these hunters in mid August of 2008.

b)

I tagged and registered an antlerless deer from a deer management unit that was designated Earn-a-Buck (EAB) or CWD during the 2007 hunting season. To the best of my knowledge, I did not receive or no longer have a green ?2007-2008? Buck Authorization Sticker, which I earned, but was not used to tag a buck.

If you registered a deer in 2007 from a unit that was designated as ?Regular? or ?Herd Control,? and that same unit will be ?Regular? or ?Herd Control? in 2008, you are not eligible for a Buck Authorization Sticker. A Buck Authorization Sticker is not required to harvest an antlered buck in Regular or Herd Control units.
