Sample Analytical Data - Sample History Report Search Help

General tips for entering search criteria:

The following criteria are available for searching the sample analytical data:

  1. County: Zero or more counties may be selected to restrict the samples selected to particular counties in Wisconsin.
  2. Survey Township, Survey Range, Survey Range Direction, Survey Section: You may specify Public Land Survey System location information to zero in on the location of the wells from which the samples were taken. Multiple selections of townships, ranges, or sections can be made.
  3. WI Unique Well #: Between zero and five WI Unique Well Numbers may be entered to restrict the wells retrieved. Each valid well number uniquely identifies a single well.
  4. Well Use: Zero or more types of well use may be specified as criteria. Follow these links to get the definitions of the various types of well use that exist: Municipal Community, OTM Community, Non-transient Non-community, Transient Non-community, Private Potable, Non-potable Private, Monitoring Well, Piezometer, Unspecified Non-community, Groundwater Extraction Well.
  5. Watershed: The query may restrict the sample analytical data to wells in a particular watershed.
  6. Sample ID: Zero to five sample IDs may be entered if you know the ID of a particular sample.
  7. Sample Collection Dates: A date range may be entered to restrict the sample analytical data to a particular time period in which the samples were collected. Both dates (From and To) must be entered if this criteria is used. The dates should be entered in the format MM/DD/YYYY.
  8. Sample Analytical Results to Include Data From: There are different DNR programs that collect and store sample analytical data. You may choose which sets of data your query will draw from. The choices include the Drinking Water/Groundwater Program, the Public Water Supply Program, and the Groundwater and Environmental Monitoring System (GEMS -- which is a solid and hazardous waste program). The GEMS database is very large and its inclusion in a search is very likely to slow down the response time of the query. Because of this and the nature of the GEMS sample analytical data, it is generally not necessary to include this data in a search.
  9. Storet Parameter Code: Up to five storet parameter codes may entered to restrict the sample analytical data to the particular storet parameter codes entered.
  10. C.A.S. #: Up to five C.A.S. numbers may be entered to restrict the sample analytical data to the particular C.A.S. numbers entered.
  11. Additional Sample Analytical Result Criteria: Additional criteria may be specified that select sample analytical results based on the measured amount of substance found in the analysis. You can restrict the data to only include sample analytical results where a substance was detected, where the measured amount of the substance exceeds the Preventative Action Limit, or where the measured amount of the substance exceeds the Enforcement Standard.
