Search by Well Owner/Operator Help

The following criteria are available for searching the well inventory by owner/operator:

1. Last Name: You may search by the owner/operator's last name. This criteria is used in a "starts with" fashion, i.e. owner/operator's whose last name starts with what you entered in this field will be matched. This will be the most often used criteria you specify for an owner/operator search.
2. First Name: You may search by the owner/operator's first name. This criteria is used in a "starts with" fashion, i.e. owner/operator's whose firstname starts with what you entered in this field will be matched.
3. Facility Name: You may search by the owner/operator's facility name. Facility names generally only exist when last name/first name does not. This criteria is used in a "contains" fashion, i.e. owner/operator's whose facility name contains what you entered in this field will be matched.
4. Contact Type: Owner and Operator are the most common types of contacts associated with wells. Other types do exist and may be specified as search criteria using this field. Most often you will probably just leave this criteria blank.

Note: If you are unsuccessful finding owners or operators using last name/first name criteria, try using facility name criteria instead, and vice versa.
